‘Free Tibet’ flags made in China

The irony of the above headline caught my attention. I guess everything really is made in China. Apparently a factory in Southern China was producing the flags without knowing what they stood for – crazy.

Kids and Statistics

I spent a ton of time with kids this weekend between two different events and it was a lot of fun, I had forgotten how fun they are. Here are a few stats: – number of times I was called a dork = 4 (that girl was mean)- number of times a deflated beachball was [...]

"Preoccupied with getting"

This was a powerful message to me this morning: Matthew 6: 25-34 (MSG) 25-26“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. Dreams of a Distant Future

I try to rip Mike off as much as possible, here’s another: You have a lot of things you could, should, want, need to do. Right now you are reading my blog. Stop. Think about somebody close in your life you will talk to today. Put the laptop down or push back from the computer [...]

hodgepodge

noun 1. a motley assortment of things 2. a theory or argument made up of miscellaneous or incongruous ideas [syn: patchwork] I feel like I really haven’t posted anything of substance lately and that’s probably not going to change with this post (if you’re worried about me – don’t, I’m thinking about substantial things like [...]

and these kids have never even heard of Macgyver
